We have two Sunday
services, at 9.45 and 11am.
Worship Now! at
9.45am, a service of contemporary worship. It features modern music, songs and
new ways of exploring life and faith.
Crèche facilities are
available for children under three years old from 9.45 am.
Older children are welcome in the
Young Church.
The Morning Service
at 11am follows a more familiar pattern with a blend of beautiful hymns and
modern songs, sermon and prayers.
Note:
In late June, all of July & most of August there is usually only one service at
10.30am.

Christmas Services 2008
-
Sunday 21st December at 9.45am we shall
be holding our Christmas Nativity Play featuring the children of
our Young Church. At 11am there will be the traditional
service of Lessons and Carols. (Between the two morning services
there is the opportunity to meet with family and friends over a glass of
mulled wine and mince pies.)
Wednesday, 24th December, Christmas Eve,
at 7pm there will be a Family Service – younger children
are especially welcome! The traditional Watch night Service takes
place at 11.30pm preceded by community carol singing from
11pm onwards.
Thursday 25th December, Christmas Day, at
10.30am there will be one service for everyone.
Sunday, the 28th December at 10.30am, we
combine services to mark the last Sunday of the year – why not join
us?
The Fun Zone for children will run during the
school Christmas holidays and all ages meet together. The children still
go in to church for the first part of the service but then they all join
together in the halls where they can enjoy games and a wide array of arts
and crafts activities.

Communion)

Jesus

The Church formally celebrates the
Sacrament of the Lord's Supper at 9.45 am and 11.00 am (in the Church) once a
quarter at the last Sunday in February, May, August and November.
Communions are also held on the last Sunday of other months of the year
at 9.45 am and 11.00 am.
Other communion services
are also held at special times of the Church's celebrations such as Easter and
Christmas.

Special Services
-
During
the year a number of special services are organised. These include the services
at times of special Christian celebration such as Easter and Christmas. Special
services are also organised on Remembrance Sunday (second Sunday in November).
Family services to celebrate events such as Harvest and the completion of the
Young Church year, when the members are promoted to new
groups, are also part of our
tradition.

- New Members Classes -
From time to time the Minister
also arranges communicant classes for new members.
Those interested should contact the Church Office.
See joining our church..
- Baptisms
& Child Blessings -
 |
 |
To have a child baptised
or blessed in our church you should make early contact
with the minister either directly or via the church
office.
The time of the baptism will be
arranged with the Minister.
At present baptisms are usually held on the first Sunday in the month at
the 9.45am. morning service.
The Minister will meet with the parents on a day,
or an evening, in the week prior to the baptism taking
place. At this meeting it is usual for the parents to bring with them their
child's birth certificate on which the date of the baptism, the officiating
minister, the church and declaration that the child has been baptised,
will be recorded.

here.
- Weddings -
Weddings must be arranged with the
Minister although a tentative date for the wedding can
be 'pencilled in' by arrangement
with the church office.
The Minister is very willing to
discuss the wedding service with couples at an early stage and a rehearsal will
normally be held on the evening before the wedding takes place. The minister
does not charge for his services however there are costs involved for heating,
cleaning, the services of the church officer and the organist. Details of the
charges are available from the church office. For
full details and contacts visit our
weddings page.
- Funerals -
Funerals
are usually
arranged by first contacting an undertaker.
Where it is the wish of the family to use the services of the
minister or the church, the undertaker will liaise
with the minister to confirm his willingness to
officiate and his availability at a time convenient to the family.
Where the Minister or the church are to be involved in the
service no
arrangements should be made
before the Minister has agreed the details. For full details
